Celebrating World Social Justice Day with Collaboration & Hope
On February 20th, we celebrated World Social Justice Day, a powerful reminder of the importance of equity, sustainability, and inclusive economic growth. At Cascade Foundation, we believe that meaningful change happens through partnerships that bridge education, innovation, and local communities.
Â
That’s why we are honoured to be invited by Duy Tan University (Vietnam) to collaborate on a European funding proposal for the iSITES project, alongside a fantastic group of universities, NGOs, policymakers, and eco-tourism enterprises. This ambitious initiative, led by Duy Tan University, aims to support the development of a sustainable, indigenous-centered eco-tourism industry in the region, ensuring that economic growth also respects local traditions, supports community well-being, and promotes environmental sustainability.
If selected for funding, iSITES will establish innovation hubs, foster cross-border collaboration, and develop training programs to equip students and professionals with the skills to transform the eco-tourism sector in a socially and environmentally responsible way. However, as with any European funding bid, there is a long wait ahead. We expect to hear by July or August. So for now, we celebrate the incredible collaborative spirit that brought this proposal to life. Fingers crossed!
A huge thank you to Duy Tan University for leading this effort and to all our partners across Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Bulgaria, Ecuador, the Philippines, and beyond. Your dedication to co-creating sustainable solutions is inspiring!
